BLOOMINGS TEAM

Rob founded Bloomings Landscape in January of 2000 as a two-man operation. Utilizing his degree in Turf Grass Management from North Carolina State University, his passion for the landscaping industry, and ultimately, the addition of a great Team, Bloomings has grown into what it is today. With 150 plus employees and 3 facilities servicing the greater Sarasota and Manatee county area, Bloomings Landscape has enjoyed many successes. Bloomings Landscape has continually prided itself on providing our client portfolio with the latest technology, chemistry, and horticultural practices the industry offers. Today, you will find Rob in the office, at one of our client’s properties, or in the latest bid closing meeting to ensure everyone gets the actual Bloomings experience. Rob’s landscaping motto is “I never said it would be easy, only that it would be worth it when done right the first time.”

Hobbies: fitness, fishing, travel, cooking, any outdoor adventures.

Shane was born and raised in Manatee county. Being a lifelong Gator fan, Shane attended the University of Florida, where he graduated with a degree in Turfgrass Science. After a brief, but valuable experience in the golf course management industry in South Florida. Shane wanted to get back to the Manatee county area, so he starting to focus on opportunities within the landscape management industry and joined Bloomings in 2006. Over the years, Shane has continued to expand his landscape management knowledge to include certified Arborist, Pest Control Operator, and FCHP. Shane continues to be a vital part of the Bloomings management team, and he is one of the key contributing factors to our successful track record of year over year business growth.

 

Hobbies: spending time with family, hunting and golfing.

Steve is a lifetime resident of Manatee County, with the majority of his life spent living in Palmetto. He has always had a passion for horticulture and has spent the past 20 plus years in the horticulture landscaping industry. Steve joined Bloomings in 2012 and throughout his successful career path worked his way to shop manager of our Bradenton office. Steve has a major role in Bloomings' strategic business plan to continue to grow our service footprint in the greater Lakewood Ranch and Parrish area.

Hobbies: fishing, grilling, and golfing.

Nick is originally from Ohio and moved to Florida in 2018.  In Ohio, he graduated from The Ohio State University. Nick graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Turfgrass management, a minor in business management, and an Associate of Science. For the past ten years, Nick had been managing golf courses in Ohio and Florida, including Jack Nicklaus courses and all private country clubs. He joined the Blooming's team in September of 2021, focused on expanding his knowledge of Landscape Management and joining a strong team looking to expand the company’s growth! 

 

Hobbies: fishing, sports, traveling, and boating 

Brad, originally from Michigan, joined the Bloomings Team in 2022. He brings his industry knowledge, passion, and lifelong experience in the green industry. Brad grew up in the green industry, surrounded by it his entire life, as his father owned and operated a successful lawn care business back in Michigan. In 2016 he decided to sell the family business with the dream of moving to Florida; that dream took a few years to unfold. In 2022, the opportunity finally arose, and the Haney family moved to Florida. Naturally, Brad wanted to capitalize on and expand on his 23+ years of experience in the green industry. He is excited to continue to utilize his skill set, knowledge, and experience with Bloomings for many years to come!

 

Hobbies: traveling, family, weightlifting, learning, problem solving

Matt was born in London, England, and grew up as a Chelsea football club fan. After a 16-year career in the printing industry, Matt got lucky and met his American wife while playing slow-pitch softball in cold and rainy England. Matt's wife moved him to the U.S. He landed a job in the cart barn at a golf course in sunny Florida.  Golf is a sport he has always loved and respected. He worked 13 years, in various roles from cart barn up to golf course superintendent. And is now ready to bring his work experience to Bloomings.

 

Hobbies: golf, soccer, family, grilling

Joe moved from Wisconsin to Florida in 1996 and immediately jumped into the landscaping industry. Joe joined Bloomings in 2003 and has progressed within the company to the role of Production Manager. Joe assigns the job flow for our work crews going out every morning from our Sarasota headquarters. He then heads out to confirm that each of the properties within his portfolio is getting the proper attention it needs. Joe is vital to the Bloomings management team, and customer satisfaction is his top priority.

Hobbies: bass fishing.

Originally from Ohio, Carla moved to Florida in 2001. Carla first joined Bloomings in March 2004 and after a short hiatus, she rejoined the Bloomings team in February 2008.  As the Office Manager for Bloomings Landscape, Carla is the glue that holds the company together. She brings her years of administrative experience in Office Management, Human Resources, and Accounting from previous corporate positions at Boar’s Head, Kellogg, and Century 21.

Hobbies: cooking, learning, and animal welfare

Jay is a rare true Floridian, born in Sarasota and raised in Palmetto. He graduated from University of Florida with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Retail Specialization. After a 16 year stint in the retail industry with stops at Bealls Department Store and Guy Harvey, Inc. He moved back to the Manatee County area. Jay joined Bloomings in the beginning of 2021 and he is truly excited to leverage his marketing skill set to help us grow our landscape maintenance portfolio.
